ABSTRACT Communication technologies have generated a new pee of literacy which puts the standard of compose among technology adopters at stake. In the present study, 80 e-mails and SMSes from university students were analyzed. To visualize how the adoption of SMS run-in affects theme among its adopters, analyses were made on the semantic and syntactic aspects of the e-mails.
